Korawa Beach is a cool little ‘cliff beach’ on the west side of Nusa Penida island.

A lot of blogs get this place mixed up with the famous Diamond Beach, but it’s actually on a totally different side of the island, and the two places aren’t related at all.

So if you got here by mistake and you’re looking for more info on the flawlessly incredible Diamond Beach, you can find that here.

Korawa Beach Overlook

There are several nice overlooks at Korawa Beach where you can look down at the cliffs, ocean, and beach.

The beach itself is pretty tiny and nothing amazing in itself, and it was mostly hidden when I was there since it was high tide.

It’s also very difficult (or impossible) to get down to the beach itself on foot, but that may change. In the meantime, the viewpoints are still pretty cool and it’s easy to add this to any west Penida itinerary.

An added bonus is that a lot of the snorkeling boat tours come to this bay to visit the manta rays, so you can watch the boats and mantas come and go while you’re chilling on the cliffs above.

How To Get To Korawa Beach Overlook

Korawa Beach is on the west side of Nusa Penida island.

It’s accessible by car or scooter, about 1 hour drive from the main docks and accommodation in northern Penida.

Be careful if you go by scooter because the road is rough and may be dangerous in some spots if you don’t take it slow!

Nusa Penida Private Driver

If you want to explore Nusa Penida in the comfort and safety of a van with a driver, my top recommendation would be GetYourGuide.

They offer a full day of driving and sightseeing in Penida (up to 8 hours) for 1-5 passengers. This tour includes the whole van + driver + petrol.

We’ve used GetYourGuide for lots of tours and activities around the world, and they’re great! Highly recommended.

Where We Stayed

We stayed at Saren Villa on the north coast of Nusa Penida, and paid 240k Rupiah ($15 USD) for a private double room with cold A/C, hot shower, and good WiFi.

This is one of the cheapest options in Penida, and it’s in a great location near the best restaurants! We were happy.

Prices may fluctuate from time to time, so just keep an eye out for a good deal.
